CUCINE ZERO NINE

Cucine Zero Nine sells high-end kitchens that are beautifully designed, both in terms of aesthetics and functionality. The company’s new identity needed to be every bit as sophisticated. We developed a logo that is minimal, pure and contemporary, stripping back the typography to the simplest lines. Conscious that the products should always be hero, and mindful that the website would be a key selling tool, we ensured that photography would be hero for maximum stand out. A growing reputation has seen the business establish relationships with property developers and architects, as well as being commissioned directly by individual clients.

GREENER EALING

Setting up a wholly-owned trading company to deliver refuse, recycling, street cleaning and grounds maintenance services across the borough, Ealing Council wanted to clearly communicate to residents and businesses a real and positive change. The challenge was to swiftly combat the largely negative attitudes of the previous contractor’s performance and reputation. On the strength of previous brand development projects for the council, Radius was asked to create a brand that would quickly build awareness of, and inspire confidence in, Greener Ealing. A soft launch of the brand coincided with the Covid-19 pandemic but, despite the challenges of lockdowns and the impact on staffing, the company’s KPIs reflected a highly successful first year.

KNOWLEDGE SCHOOLS TRUST

In September 2011, the West London Free School opened its doors. One of the very first free schools in the country, it was set up by a group of parents and led by journalist Toby Young. We worked with the founders in the lead up to opening to create a strong brand identity and communication materials that would give credibility to their vision of a classical liberal education for all. The school's instant success resulted in more schools being opened and the creation of the Knowledge Schools Trust, which oversees all of the schools within its portfolio, and Radius is proud to have been involved every step of the way.

REVIVE THERAPIES

Moving to a new home in a new area gave our client the push she needed to take her fledgling business to the next level. The move provided the perfect space to deliver a wide range of holistic therapies from home and, importantly, there was little competition in the area. Radius created a brand identity and website so that our client could hit the ground running. Advertising and editorial coverage in local magazines helped convey our client’s services to a wide audience and within weeks enquiries were being converted into appointments.

AVALA

This well established catering company wanted to appeal to a higher-end market. To help it achieve its aspirations of becoming the first choice for luxury catering at private parties and weddings, Radius developed a new brand that communicated confidence, professionalism, sophistication and elegance. A rich colour palette conveyed a sense of luxury and the identity itself was developed to reflect the company’s commitment to working with organic, sustainable and locally sourced ingredients.

LUXAC

As a start-up company, our client needed a strong brand identity that would help provide standout in a crowded market. We took inspiration from the bag itself, which combines the practicality of a rucksack with the style of a designer handbag, and used a turtle as a symbol. The logo was carefully considered so that it would work online, in print and, importantly, as a badge on the bag itself. In line with our client’s desire to work with British manufacturers, we sourced a silversmithing company to produce beautifully detailed enamelled badges. Selling primarily online, the website had to work hard and featured images from a commissioned photography shoot that captured the quality, detail and quirkiness of the bags. Working within a very limited marketing budget, Luxac still managed to attract the attention of fashion editors and high-end publications, which helped to drive sales.

CARDINALS IN THE COMMUNITY

A review of CITC’s marketing materials quickly revealed weak branding and inconsistency in how the charity was communicating. We developed a new brand and visual identity that would deliver consistency, be instantly recognisable and help build greater awareness of CITC’s purpose. We also introduced sub-brands to distinguish between the charity’s different activities. From templates for social media and printed and digital comms to the website, we have provided CITC with the tools to more confidently communicate with its stakeholders and various audiences across the local community.

SHIRE PUB COMPANY

We’ve worked with this small chain of pub-restaurants since 2011, when the business recognised the need to develop its brand and strengthen its offer. We developed a completely new brand and positioning, giving clarity to customer messages and clearly conveying quality of food and accommodation. During the Covid-19 pandemic, we helped our client reinvent his business. Whilst pubs couldn’t open during lockdown, existing supply chains were used to turn The White Hart into a mini-supermarket for the local community, and Radius set up an app through which customers could place their orders. This was further developed for food takeaway orders and then remote ordering of food as restrictions were gradually eased.

ROYAL AERONAUTICAL SOCIETY

Working with the education department for over 15 years, we’ve helped the Society successfully connect with children and young people across the UK, introducing the younger generation to the world of aviation and aerospace. From fun booklets for the very youngest audience to classroom resources and careers information for secondary school pupils, we’ve created sub-brands and a range of communication materials designed to excite and inspire.

EALING BOROUGH COUNCIL

Briefed to create a campaign that would encourage eligible residents to register and vote, our solution had to be politically neutral and reach an ethnically diverse audience. A quirky and eyecatching approach successfully cut through the noise of other advertising and provided plenty of standout. A range of messaging was developed to keep the campaign fresh as the deadline to register – and then the voting day itself – approached. The results were impressive. 98.2% of residents registered to vote, the highest number in London. Turnout for the local elections was 41.3%, and numbers almost doubled in some wards; in total, 380,000 votes were cast, the second highest in London. In the European Parliamentary elections turnout was 43.9%, higher than the London average of 37.4%.

FALCONS PRIMARY SCHOOL

In 2013 Radius was approached by the team behind a new free school proposed for Leicester. Rooted in the Sikh ethos, the school would offer at least 50% of places to families of any or no faith. Having been involved at an early stage we were able to establish the brand identity and supporting visual identity in time to implement a range of marketing materials used during the mandatory public consultation process. Presenting the school to a professional standard helped give greater credibility to the team's proposition and allowed them to fully engage with parents, community groups, faith groups and local councils. As the school progressed towards opening we designed and produced the prospectus, stationery and worked with a uniform supplier on the production of uniform and bags. Since welcoming its initial cohort in 2014, the school has grown year on year to full capacity.
